Flower Vase
Hi all, Corinne here today with an eye catching 3D card make.
I think this project really shows off how versatile the Cameo 4 can be.
Making The Vase
I brought my design onto the mat and ungrouped the pieces that I didn’t need.
I cut the paler ones out first.
I then brought the darker ones onto my cutting mat and cut them out.
I used coloured card which I had in my stash.
I cut all the pieces out and assembled them together with wet glue which I used very sparingly to make my vase.
Making The Flowers
I made the flowers out of edible wafer card.
When I’m cutting wafer card, I don’t use the cutting mat, instead I use the Cameo 4’s “Pop-Out” function.
I brought my design onto the screen and sized it to the size I needed I used the setting for plain card on the machine.
The picture shows the pieces cut out in the white wafer card.
The Stages Of The Flower
I used an 18 grade floristry wire and put a small hook on the end to attach a small ball of flower paste.
The picture shows the different stages of the flower assembly.
Putting The Flowers Together
I airbrushed all the petals and leaves and assembled them together using a very small amount of water to dampen the bottom.
This is so they will stick together.
I used floristry tape to tape the leaves to the wired flower.
I really enjoyed making this project as it combines the two things, card craft and sugar craft which I enjoy the most.
Hope you do too!
