Hello and welcome to todays blog post, Showered With Love ♥
So today I have made a 12 x 12 scrapbooking layout with a lovely umbrella cut file from Lillium Pixel. I used some papers from Crate Paper’s La La Love collection and my trusty Bazzill Basics white card but you could as easily use the Silhouette Adhesive-Backed Cardstock if you have it to hand.
My machine is the Silhouette Cameo 3.
As some of you know it’s an awesome piece of kit and has allowed me to really move forward and keep up with the times with my scrapbooking.
As for this layout I used Coconut Swirl white Bazzill cardstock on the cardstock heavy setting and passing through twice. I trimmed the cutfile down to an 11 inch square.
I decided to back all of the hearts with coordinating paper from the collection and I backed the rain drops with some blue netting I had in my craft stash.
I then backed the whole cutfile onto a gorgeous sheet of card covered in love hearts and then decided to draw round the cut edges with a dot and a dash (soooo much quicker than sewing!) and round the edge of the paper I drew a squiggle and then a line to create a boarder.
I chose my photo and then added a frame that I backed under it to give the layout some depth and then used some little tucky pieces of card under the frame.
I then added some embellishments including a heart shaker sticker, a plastic perspective and lastly I added the title around the top left hand side of this cluster.
I found another frame in my stash and backed that alongside a perspective. I added them to the top left hand corner of my layout with two strips of paper to pull the layout together.
When you have a great cut file like this the layout comes together really quickly. I could have given it more texture by either hand or machine stitching but I’m pleased at the end result and if you fancy giving a scraplift a go please tag us on our Instagram page Instagram_uk
