Leatherette Earrings | Silhouette Leatherette Sheets
Well, this week we are focusing on St David’s day and using Leatherette Sheets.
So I decided to make some earrings using a Celtic design.
Preparing The Design
I opened a letter sized design space and added my design, I had chosen a Celtic design which I thought would transfer beautifully to earrings.
I then resized it to 2ins tall.
Cutting The Leatherette
I un-grouped the design and removed the intricate design, leaving the solid one, duplicated this and cut from black leatherette
Cutting The Intricate Shape
I duplicated the intricate shape.
Initially, I had intended to cut the intricate shape from rose gold leatherette but it was to intricate to do so.
I then decided to cut it from metallic red vinyl.
Adding The Vinyl To The Leatherette
It took a little time to weed the vinyl but once I had done so it was really easy to add to the leatherette and it adhered really well.
Celtic St David's Day Earrings
I also made a display stand for my earrings as I thought they looked so pretty and deserved to be shown off to their full potential.
