Hello, Karen here with a box card made to celebrate American Independence Day on the 4th July. This week the DT have been tasked with using metallic vinyl and I was sent some gorgeous gold!
I haven’t made any alterations to the design file for this card as it was so lovely in the first place.
Once I had opened the design, I separated all the elements into the colours I wanted and used the colour palette to colour them.

As I didn’t have any suitable paper for the outside and inside of the box so I chose two printable patterns and used those.
Rather than print and cut I printed out the patterns slightly larger than the area I wanted to cut and once printed, just added it to my mat and cut.
It was really easy to assemble the box card, once all the elements had been cut as there is a very helpful blog post by the designer with step by step instructions.
This blog post can be found HERE.
I think that the gold vinyl gives this project that extra something – it was a joy to cut and very easy to add to the card pieces.
I would recommend trying it on cards and other paper projects as it does give them a touch of luxury.
