Christmas Baubles | Silhouette Glitter Vinyl
For this week’s projects we are all using Silhouette Glitter Vinyl for Christmas decorations.
I had some wooden bauble shapes in my supplies and decided that these would be ideal for this project.
Preparing The Design
When I opened the design, it was over 5 ins tall and had a version with a hanging tab and one without.
I only wanted the one without so ungrouped them and removed the one on the left.
Sizing The Design
I resized the design by ‘closing’ the padlock to keep the ratio of the design the same (1) then changing the width to2.75 ins (2).
Setting Out The Design
As I wanted the design on both sides of my wooden bauble and also had three different designs, I set them out side by side and replicated them beneath.
This enabled me to cut three pieces of glitter vinyl, in different colours, and attach them to my cutting mat – I could then cut all my pieces at once.
Cutting The Designs
I set my machine to the recommended settings and cut all six shapes.
I was able to weed the vinyl without any problems and it was really easy to attach to my baubles.
Beautiful Decorations
This was a very quick little project and I am thrilled with the results.
So much so that I am thinking I will make some as Christmas present tags for special people!
