Hi DT Sharon here.
Using your Silhouette Cameo is a great way of making some of those little gifts perfect for stocking fillers.
I’ve used a ceramic bauble and both vinyl and card for these two projects.
Measure your bauble.
Using the marquee tool in the design space and the measurements along the top bar make a circle the same size as your bauble.
This will be your area to work in.
Bring in your design and resize to fit your bauble.
When you have cut the design weed it on your vinyl sheet.
Apply transfer tape and press both sides to allow the words to adhere.
Peel off the white vinyl backing and apply to your bauble.
If some of your letters are missing on your wording then just ungroup in the file and pick out the letters you need to cut.
You can then apply them to where they are missing.
I added a bow and ribbon so that it can be hung on the tree.
Bring in your file to the design space.
This particular file had 2 options, a closed or tuck in top.
I chose the tuck in option.
I bought each coloured piece in and cut out.
I used a patterned paper for the white pieces.
I cut the pieces (except the patterned paper) from the adhesive backed cardstock.
It makes it a lot easier to put together.
I used a bone folder to crease the fold lines as it leaves a much crisper line.
I then put the little heart onto the gingerbread mans chest.
Now you just need to apply the finishing touches.
I inked around the gingerbread man in a slightly darker brown and added some white highlights with a pen.
I then added some little googly eyes for him.
These two projects were really fun to make and there is lots of options in the Silhouette store to make those little stocking gifts.
Even if it’s last minute!
You could add names to both projects to personalise them too.
