Chipboard Trophy

It’s Denise here today.

Are you enjoying the weather? It’s been not bad just hope there is more sunny days to come here.

Today’s blog is about this cute little Trophy.

This can be used for many occasions and perfect for the summer of sport we have to look forward to this year.

Materials Used
• Silhouette Chipboard
• Wet Glue

Open Your File

Open your Silhouette software and load your file by going to the library on the top right-hand side and look for your required file and load it onto your design space by clicking on it and it will open.

As you will see it’s not on the design space properly.

Click on your file and drag it so it sits completely on the design space.

There is no need to ungroup your file as your cutting it all in one colour.

Cutting Your File

On your top right-hand corner there is a send tab click on it and that will take you to the cutting settings.

Once in, look for your media under carriage 1on the drop-down menu which we’re using chipboard for this trophy and no need to do anything else as it’s all done for you.

Load your media onto your cutting mat and load into your cutting machine.

Once you have done that press the send button and off it goes doing the cut for you.

Assembling Your Trophy

Fold your parts along the perforated lines, do it with all of the parts.

This is when you use wet glue to glue the parts together.

As you can see from the photo, add glue where you can see in photo.

Adhere to the parts one by one as you will see 4 parts with the handles.

Adhere 2 together and again with the other two.

The plain ones you adhere together and put 2 in between the handles.

Adhere the last part together and that completes your Trophy.

Things To Do With Trophy

You can cut this out and assemble, add ribbon to the handles.

You can resize to make your Trophy bigger or smaller, by ungrouping your file and lay the parts on top of each other.

Click on all parts by making a box around it to select them all and drag to the size required and cut.

Make a label or plaque glue it to the trophy this will be fab for Father’s Day coming up or you just want to give trophy.

This Trophy was easy to do from cutting and adhering it together.

I will certainly be doing the design again especially for my lil grandsons just to show they are number one in my heart.

I love surprising them with little things like this.

Also, will be cutting the design out twice so the boys can join in and put their mark on them with making the trophies for their Grandpa for Father’s Day.

What you can do with this is endless so many ways you can jazz this Trophy up from ribbon to bling!

Hope you will pop on back and check out my next blog which I will be using glitter, now wonder what she is doing with that I hear you say!
