Weekly Meal Planner

I wanted to be a bit more organized this year and that included meal planning.
It’s all too easy to just grab some meal from the freezer or a takeaway. So I thought I’d make a weekly menu planner board and a handy conversion chart to go with it.
I’ve used a blackboard card so I can easily change the menu and write any notes I need to.
The chalkboard card stock is 8.5x11ins.
Because I wanted my board to be bigger I recycled a cereal box to make a base to be able to adhere two sheets of the chalkboard card on.
Take your files into silhouette studio and layout into colours.
I’ve taken just the top title from the conversion file.
I did this by ungrouping the whole file and choosing which part I wanted and then grouping that.
I cut the jugs 3ins x 3ins and the conversion title 61/2ins x 3ins.
Place your already cut pieces to one side.
Now bring in the weekly menu file and cut this in white vinyl.
I cut it 6ins x 8ins.
Now weed your pieces.
Take your time and have a cuppa, some of the pieces are quite small but the silhouette vinyl makes it easy to weed.
Once weeded apply to transfer tape.
Press down on both sides to make it easier to apply to the transfer tape.
Apply the weekly menu to the left hand side.
I aligned the piece using a glass mat with measurements to make it relatively straight.
Then apply the conversion title to the top of the right hand side piece of your project.
The add the jugs and jar in your preferred place.
I enjoyed making this project.
Firstly I wanted to make something fun and functional for my kitchen. Secondly I find weeding vinyl very relaxing and calming.
As there is quite a bit of weeding it was an afternoon of relaxation.
You could use the chalkboard cardstock for any room in the house.
The kids could have one for chores and homework!
