Happy Father’s Day

Hi Silhouette Users, this week we are showcasing the fabulous Silhouette Pen Holder.

I love that I can use any pen or pencil in my Cameo to create images.

This week our theme is Father’s Day.

My favourite part of any project is choosing the design.

I wanted a phrase that could easily be drawn and one that would suit a scrapbook page.

I loved this phrase but changed it very slightly from ‘our family’ to ‘us’.

I used a glittery green pen, which I added to the pen holder using the medium fitting.

I loaded my paper and set my machine to sketch rather than cut.

The phrase looked a bit plain so I added a globe shape. I had this one already so removed all the inner design placed it over the words and cut the shape.

I then hand punched some holes to stitch (but could have done this with the Cameo).

I looked through some of the dedicated sketch designs and bought AWESOME! Sketched using the same green pen, then cut with the Cameo, it looks great on top of the photograph.

I added a sketched scallop circle and a couple of sketched labels.

Adding my journaling to one under the photograph.

I hope I have demonstrated what a useful tool the pen holder is as I sketched my main title, a subtitle, my journaling and made a couple of labels as embellishments.
