Welcome scrapbookers and crafters to today’s blog post!
So, I started today’s page by being very brave and cutting out this beautiful cut file on a piece of patterned paper.
The paper is from Pink Fresh’s Joyful day collection and called Just Right! As usual I cut it on the heavy card stock setting passing through twice. I then trimmed the rest of the paper leaving a one inch border. On which a popped a piece of white paper trimmed down to 11 ½ inch square.
What To Do Next
So I had this lovey cut file..but what to do?
Back fill as I normally would? Nooooo!
I decided to draw round the inside of the cut file and then paint them with water colours!
Watching Paint Dry
Once the paint was dry I stuck the cut file directly onto the paper leaving the left hand side of the heart without glue so I could tuck papers under it.
Paper Layers
So I backed my 3×4 inch photo in some of the left over “Just right” paper and then from the same collection I cut two pieces of paper 3 ½ x 4 ½ from the “Being us” sheet and rough upped all the edges.
Stick It Down
I used foam risers between the pieces of card to give the layout some depth and to give me some room to tuck ephemera under the papers.
The Final Touches
After all the ephemera had been added I popped on some perspex hearts and a glossy puffy sticker hearts, stars and title to complete my layout!
