Summer Fun | Silhouette Metallic Heat Transfer Material
Silhouette produce so many fabulous materials and this week I am using silver Metallic Heat Transfer Vinyl.
The theme is Summer and I have tried to use the product in a few different ways for the ultimate amount of inspiration.
Using HTV is really easy, choose your design from the Silhouette Store, mirror the image and cut as per machine guidelines.
Peel away the unwanted part, place the image attached to the clear backing sheet on your material, iron with a cloth or paper in between and then peel the plastic away.
I am going on a cruise this Summer so have made myself a simple tote to carry my essentials including the matching travelers notebook.
My son is getting his exam results whilst we are away on holiday so I made him a simple t-shirt to wear on the day.
The shiny silver HTV is perfect for a star design.
My daughter is graduating from university this Summer and I look forward to scrapbooking several photos so I used the HTV to make a shiny title in advance…
I will iron the cap in place later.
My daughter is turning 21 and moving into new student digs for her MSc.
A fun pillow to add to her favourite chair is a simple gift easily made with metallic HTV.
As you can see I have managed to make a lot of Summer themed projects this week.
I only used a 12 x 12 piece of HTV and had room for more images. It is definitely a cost effective way of creating unique and personalized gifts and works well on different materials including paper, cardboard and various fabrics as shown above.
