Light Up For Spring bottle

Hi Cheryl here again.

Hi folks, well we are now at the time of year when the weather gets worse and Scotland has been forecast for more snow.

So we may as well make good use of things around the house that we can upcycle.

I have used a bottle here so if you would like to make this come join me below.

Craft Materials Used

• Silhouette Glossy Vinyl
• Bottle
• Tissue paper
• Ribbon

• Adhesive gem stones
• Glue

Firstly you want to glue the tissue paper on to the bottle and leave to dry I would only use enough tissue paper to cover it with a little over when the edges meet.

Open your file in silhouette software.

To resize click on the black box and move the little boxes until you get the size you require.

If you are happy with your size then click send up in the top right hand screen and you will see your screen change.

At this screen you want to change your material to Vinyl, glossy and if you are happy with the settings then hit send at the bottom of the screen.

Take your vinyl off the mat and cut away any excess you don’t need and then with your tool kit weed away the uncut vinyl until you are left with just your text.

Now put a piece of transfer tape over the text and then peel away the backing of the vinyl and then place the text in the centre of the bottle.

Now put some ribbon around the top of the bottle and decorate with some gems using glue then put some battery operate lights in the top and your project is now complete.

Now with the second circle once put together I stuck some jute around a candle then placed the circle at the front using glue and with the wrap box I put some ribbon around the handle and your pieces are complete.

I love making these bottles and they are nice to give as gifts to friends or family or even sell at a craft market. Its not long now until spring shows up and we all know what happens in spring…. Yes it’s when we show our mums, step-mums or grans how much we love them so I hope you come join me in my next project.
