This week we are using the Doming Kit (which is on sale at the moment) and ‘Day of the Dead’ designs.
I decided to try to make some earrings and a necklace in a presentation box.
For the earrings I resized the design to 1 inch high and also mirrored it and then duplicated these to give me four shapes.
I resized the necklace to 1 ½ in tall and the decoration for my gift box to 2in tall.
All of these were put onto an A5 design area to economise on the amount of media I used, then printed and cut my design.
I followed the instructions contained in the doming kit and waited for them to dry – which took overnight.
I wanted to make a gift box for my jewelry set and decided to adapt one from the Design Store.
The one I found needing adapting to accommodate my pieces.
I moved the places for earrings to hang down and added a slit at the top for the ribbon of the necklace to hang.
I added the largest Day of the Dead design to the lid of my box.
I was really pleased with the results and the instructions for the Doming Kit were very clear and made it easy to use.
