Back-To-School Bookmark | Silhouette Wood Paper Sheets

It’s that time of the year when schools start back, so what better way to help your little one with a back to school mark. Perfect for keeping their place when reading.
Open up the Bookmarks & Clips by Studio Illustrado into your design space.
Right-click on the design to un-group the three bookmarks.
We will be using the pencil design for today’s bookmark but you could use any of the three.
Open up the offset window and with the design selected, add an offset to the outer design.
This will be cut out of white card later, creating the base for the wooden sheet to adhere to.
Before moving the stencilled design out of the offset shape, right-click and copy & paste the pencil.
Next, right-click of the pencil design and release the compound path.
Delete all of the design apart from the tab forming the bookmark.
Now, group this tab with the offset outline to ensure that the tab on the outline lines up the tab on the pencil design element.
To separate the pencil design so this can be cut out separately, copy & paste the stencilled element.
Next, using the knife tool with the outline feature option selected, raw a straight line at the base of the pencil.
Using the offset tool, add a small internal offset to the pencil design. Remove the outer cut line and group all the elements of the pencil together.
Cut the main complete pencil design bookmark out of wood sheets
Cut the pencil element out of colour vinyl.
Peel the wooden bookmark off the wood sheet backing paper and adhere onto the white card bookmark.
Weed the pencil vinyl cut-outs and using transfer tape, apply the pencil onto the bookmark.
