Welcome Baby Swing Card | Silhouette Corrugated Card
This week we have been given some self-adhesive corrugated card to use.
It comes in a pack of 6 sheets – 3 white and 3 Kraft. I decided to use one of the white sheets and make a new baby card.
Cutting Your Card
I started by opening my swing card file and rotating it 180 degrees so that the banner was at the top.
I used the ‘Draw A Note’ tool to label the material to use for each section.
Then the corrugated card sections were placed onto another design area and I cut the pink and corrugated card separately.
Cutting The Patterned Paper
I wanted to add a patterned paper liner to my card so I used the knife tool to remove the areas I wanted and gave them a slight internal offset so they would have a slight pink card border.
Adding The Sentiments
The circular ‘Baby Girl’ was resized to 3.25 and I used Pina Colada stencil font to write welcome onto the banner. I cut these from pink card.
Constructing Your Card
Once I had all the requisite elements it was really quick to construct my card.
I added one of the corrugated panels to the front along with the corrugated scalloped circle and banner.
Onto the scalloped circle and banner I added my pink ‘Welcome’ and ‘Baby Girl’.
The final touch was to glue in the patterned paper liner.
It's A Girl
I really enjoyed using the corrugated card for my baby card and have used it in the past to create embellishments for cards/scrapbook pages. It cuts really nicely and the adhesive backing makes it super easy to use.
