Pancake Day Card | Silhouette Cork Sheets
This week we have been tasked to use cork sheets with a Pancake Day theme.
When I saw the stack of pancakes card in the Silhouette Design Store I knew it would be perfect and would use the cork sheet as syrup dripping down the stack.
I then decided to add a pancake recipe to the inside of the card.
The first thing I did was to un-group the card and remove the dotted line – I like to score my cards by hand as I think the perforated line isn’t crisp enough to give a good finish.
I used Sister Sketch font to add ‘Happy Pancake Day’ on to the inside right of the card.
I used a black sketch pen for the writing and cut the stack shape out.
As I was going to use a bronze sketch pen for the script writing I removed it by using Ctrl X before printing and put it back in exactly the same place by using Ctrl V.
The final task was to cut the ‘syrup’ from cork.
I used the recommended settings with 2 passes and the cork cut beautifully and adhered to my card perfectly
So, there we have it, a card with a recipe in – perfect for giving to my daughter with a little parcel containing the relevant ingredients!
