Let It Snow | Scrapbooking With Steph
Hello and welcome to my latest blog post!
I’ve been using some of my winter holiday photos from Canada so a winter theme still running through this post…but I found a beautiful cut file in the Silhouette store and I just had to use it!
The Cut File
I have always been a bit keen on wreath cut files, but a wreath cut file with snowflakes what could be more perfect than this one?
I used Bazzill diamond card and set my machine to cut through twice.
Border & Background
I chose the snowflake paper and gutted it leaving a one inch boarder.
I then picked the green specked back ground paper, trimmed it to 11 x 11 and roughed up the edges of the paper and cut some narrow dips into the sides of the paper.
Next I infilled the dips with a coordinating mistletoe paper and roughed up those edges too before sticking the border and background together.
Putting The Layout Together
I added foam risers to the back of the cut file before sticking it centrally to the layout.
Adding Photos
I used two photos for this layout.
Both 3 x 4 inches.
I backed them onto a couple of old project life cards (using foam risers) I had also roughed up the edges the same as I done with the background paper.
I over lapped the photos and popped them onto the bottom right hand side of the layout on more foam risers.
Adding The Finishing Touches
I added my title and then embellished the layout with foam stickers, winter themed ephemera, glossy dots and chipboard snowflakes to complete the layout.
Let It Snow
Thank you so very much for reading this month’s post.
I really enjoyed making it and reminiscing about my holiday to Canada.
Until next time…happy scrapping!
