Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year to all our customers. Thank you for your continued support.

Happy Halloween!! Have you suddenly realised that you or your child needs a Halloween costume, like, yesterday? Well not to worry, in this tutorial, we are going to make a last minute quick Halloween t shirt (and bag).
• HTV Vinyl (I am using a selection which includes glitter, glow in the dark and iridescent)
• T-Shirt or Long Sleeve Plain Top
• Heat Press or Iron
• Silhouette Curio (A Silhouette or Brother ScanNCut Digital Cutting Machine is also fine)
Having looked in the Silhouette design store, there were so many cute Halloween designs that I struggled to choose which one to use on the t shirt and bag. In the end, I did purchase Little Miss Hocus Pocus as I wanted to create something for my little girl and of course, add a matching bag.
I then pull it into Silhouette studio from my library by double clicking on the file.
I then placed the t shirt and bag onto a flat surface and using a ruler, mapped out how big I want the design to be.
For the T Shirt I am going to do 6” and the bag 3.5”.
Making sure that the padlock is closed so it scales the whole design, I have changed the width.
As I am using 3 different types of HTV, I am going to separate my design to cut out different sections in the different HTV.
To do this, right click and ungroup the file.
Move out each section of the design onto a different part of the cutting mat.
Looking at how you have set up the mat, place the vinyl to match the layout.
Please don’t forget that it will be mirrored when cutting, so reverse the vinyl.
**Please remember – place the HTV matte side facing up.
Once you are happy with the vinyl and placement. Click on the SEND in Silhouette Studio.
**Please remember that different types of HTV has different settings within Silhouette Studio.
I am cutting out the broom first which is Iridescent Heat Transfer.
**Make sure you only have the section you want to cut highlighted in red, to change the others, click on them and select No Cut.
Click SEND
It will then ask if you would like it mirrored – ALWAYS SELECT YES
Follow this process for all sections remembering to change your Material in Silhouette Studio.
Once they have all been cut weed the design!
Place the t shirt onto a ironing board or heat mat and layout your design ready to press
As it is not one whole piece, I have heated it onto the t shirt in sections so I can make sure that each type of HTV has stuck down
** Little Tip – Use a piece of baking sheet over the design to protect it from the heat
To give your design some extra sparkle, try adding some Hot Fix gems to your design (make sure that you are careful when applying you don’t want burnt fingers)
I really hope that you have enjoyed this tutorial, I have really loved putting it together and using different types of Silhouette HTV.
There are some great Halloween theme SVGs in the design store, so I would love to see what you come up with!
Please don’t forget to tag myself and CraftStore Direct on Instagram, I would love to see your masterpieces @the_craft_exchange @craftstore_direct #cuttingmatters
