This week we are using chipboard and our theme is music festival.
I decided that the chipboard would be perfect for jewelry and making flowers for headbands.
I used the accordion pleated flower and started by cutting 2 large and one small shape.
The next step was pleating them, then gluing them together (held in place with a clip whilst it dried).
To form a flower I simply pushed the shape inward and glued it flat onto a small circle.
This is probably the fiddliest part!
Once dry I painted the flowers.

I chose feathers and lemons (not actually what they are but that’s what they look like!) as my fun themed earrings.
Simply cut following the Silhouette Cameo instructions.

My first flower was painted white with a gold circle in the middle then added to a beaded headband.
I decided to go a bit bright for the other 2 flowers and started with white adding shades of pink with pink enamel dots in the centre, then added to an elastic headband.

So, 2 completely different looks that are perfect for a couple of nights at a festival.

The earrings are interchangeable simply switching them over on the ‘fish hook’ attachment.
Using chipboard means that the earrings are easily recycled (along with the flowers).

I loved being able to create accessories that are so easy to personalize.
I could change the type of flower or the earring design easily, altering the colours to fit a theme or an outfit.
