Hi everyone, Helen here today.
With spring on the way and the weather suddenly getting warmer it was time to start some spring themed projects.
I wanted to do some experiments with window cling and use it to decorate a mirror we have in the hallway.
The window cling was the perfect material for this as you can reposition it and it wont leave marks on the mirror if you decide to change it.
Here is how I did it.
I chose this super cute butterfly design for the mirror. When you open it in Silhouette Studio the file is already set up to print and cut. Just double check that your canvas size matches the size of the window cling you have. To do this go to the ‘Page set up window’ and check the sizes under the first tab.
Once you have done that make sure that you have registration marks enabled and print the design onto your window cling. I was very impressed with the quality of the print and how strong the colours are.
Once you have printed the image, load the window cling on you cutting mat and load it into your machine. When you are ready open the send tab at the top right hand corner of the screen.
Once you are in the ‘send’ screen I selected window cling from the drop down menu and increased the depth to 3.
The material actually cut really well and had a really good print quality.
The window cling is easy to stick to the mirror.
Just peal the design off and simply stick it to the window/mirror’.
Add the window cling butterflies to the mirror building up the design one by one.n they are ready for use.
Overall I was very impressed with the print quality on the Window Cling.
I love butterflies and it will certainly brighten up the hallway!
