Personalised Water Bottle | Silhouette Metallic Heat Transfer Material

This week the Silhouette Design Team are using Metallic HTV and I thought it would be fun to try it out on my metal water bottle.

I wasn’t sure it would work but after a little research on Google decided to give it a go.

I chose a design called Unicorn Water and resized it to fit my bottle.

I decided to only use two colours – Teal and Silver, and arranged them on my design space so that I could add the two colours of HTV and cut them out in one go.

Once the pieces were cut I added them one at a time to my bottle. For this I had to use my iron rather than my heat press. I carefully ironed each section for about 16 seconds.

NOTE be careful as the metal bottle does get very hot.

As an experiment this worked really well and was a very quick and simple project.

I was delighted with how gorgeous the shiny HTV looked on my bottle and hope it will encourage me to drink more over the hot summer months.
